Riverview Hub...

Riverview Central Best Start Hub is located at Riverview Central School , 3926 St. Clair Parkway, Port Lambton.  The hub offers child care for children 2.5 years-12 years.  This includes full day care, Early Learning Program, and before and after school care.  Child care is provided by Sombra Township Child Care, which also operates an infant and toddler child care program in Sombra.  Once children become 2.5 years they move from the Sombra Building to Riverview Central School.   The Best Start initiative has greatly increased accessibility to licensed child care programs directly in this rural community.   

The hub offers an Ontario Early Years Centre, providing family drop-in and parent workshops. Fun With Baby, Infant Massage, Make The Connection and Family Math are a few of the programs offered at the hub.  Families can access community professionals for consultation and therapy in the hub, rather than driving into Sarnia.  Public Health Nurses, Speech and Language Pathologists and Children’s Mental Health Professionals visit the hub regularly.
