Kinnwood Best Start Hub 

The Early Learning and Care Hub is located at Kinnwood Central School, 63 MacDonald Street (Morris St. entrance) in Forest.  Unique to this hub is the proximity to the North Lambton Childcare Centre’s Main Site.  Programs at the main site are available for children 3 months to 44 months of age.  Also, North Lambton Lodge is located adjacent to the Hub and has a partnership that provides the opportunity for young children and the senior residents at the Lodge to have multi-generational programs available. 

The hub has licensed child care provided by North Lambton Childcare for JK/SK Wraparound and Before and After School programs.  Many services are offered at the hub including those offered by the Ontario Early Years Centre, Pathways Health Centre for Children,  County of Lambton Child Health & Dental Services, and St. Clair Child and Youth.  A multi-purpose room, clinic room and meeting room are available at this Hub. 

There are many free programs available for the community.  These include SoundStart for preschool speech and language; Infant Hearing Screens; 18-month assessments; parenting workshops; early learning programs; early literacy programs; parent and baby drop-ins; and more. 

Transportation assistance is available.
