The County of Lambton currently has Purchase of Service agreements with 32 agencies throughout the County, as well as Purchase of Service agreements with two home child care agencies to provide home day care options for parents who work a variety of hours.

Through the Purchase of Service agreements, the County of lambton Children's Services Department ensures agencies maintain a current licence with the Ministry of Community, Family and Children's Services. Agencies are also responsible for providing proof of proper insurance, as well as current fire and health inspections.

As a result of the Best Start Program, a number of new child care spaces were opened throughout the County.
